I have a habit of starting my day with a quote on the 5-minute journal. There are few that I like to go back to and these ones are put up on my desk.
Quote 1:
“Make good art.” -Neil Gaiman
It’s from Neil Gaiman's addresses speech to the University of the Arts graduating class of 2012 Philadelphia (https://lnkd.in/dMCM-KN). One of the best commencement speeches I've heard. A must watch for everyone who hopes to be creative and successful.
Quote 2:
“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it; Boldness has genius, power, magic in it" - the great German playwright and thinker Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Quote # 3:
“Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous? Honestly, who are you not be so?
We are all meant to shine as children do. It is not in some of us; it is in all of us. While we allow our light to shine, we unconsciously give permission for others to do the same. When we liberate ourselves from our own fears, simply our presence may liberate others.”
-Return to Love, Marianne Williamson
This resonates and keeps forever in my mind.
Good day!
